Climate
and soils /
Very hot summers (maximum of 40°C) and long, very cold winters (minimum of -18°C), together with moderate rainfall (450 mm) and 2400 hours of sunshine a year, make this a high-quality wine area. The vineyards are located generally between 750 m and 850 m above sea level and the soils are varied: limestone, calcareous, silty sands and clay.
The wines
/
Its famous red wine is characterised by an intense black cherry colour when it is young. It is a very aromatic wine with generous hints of fruit and a wealth of tastes and fragrances throughout its evolution.
Main
varieties /
Tinta del País (Tempranillo). The Ribera del Duero wine must be made with at least 75% of this variety.
Authorised
varieties /
Garnacha Tinta, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In any case, the sum of the Garnacha and Malbec varieties must not exceed 5% of the varieties used to make the wine.

~ Crianza: 2 years after the harvest and at least 12 months in wood.
~ Reserva: 3 years after the harvest and at least 12 months in wood.
